⌈ CHARACTER SECTION ⌉Character: Kiyohime
Age: Unknown, even the exact time her legend was created is a bit of a mystery from what I've seen. Looks to be approximately in her late teens.
Canon: Fate/grand order
Canon Point: Post Camelot
Background: FGO history. No she doesn't exactly do much. She is not that important in the grand scheme of things as she made her first showing back when they really didn't really care about the story.
The actual legend. Various versions exist but they all basically are the same.
Personality: The Berserker class is known mainly for one thing: madness and insanity. The degrees of this insanity varies in strength but it all generally is about how strong of a battle rage the Servant falls into, which is governed by a Class Skill known as "Madness Enhancement". Lower ranks are capable of normal conversation but lose reason if their anger is tested, while higher ranks lose their reasoning entirely and are mostly just battle ready warriors who can only scream and grunt in most cases. This is explained here because Kiyohime is ranked as having Madness Enhancement EX. EX stands for a parameter that cannot be properly defined as it exceeds any form of classification. It's as much of a trait of power as it is a trait of personality.
For Kiyohime this means she has gone beyond "loss of reason" and into a more full-fledged insanity, a complete delusion that she follows without doubt, which is the belief that the one who summons her is her beloved Anchin now reincarnated. This is not actually the case as things don't work like that. This belief not only stems from her obsession with the long dead man but also the obscene ire that she felt against his one and only slight against her. As such, she may not have had any reasoning to begin with and certainly not now. If something does not fit into her own narrative of love it is either something silly that someone else believes and is thus not important at all, or something that must be burned away. Be it someone else, Anchin himself or the poor person branded as "Anchin".
That said she is surprisingly flexible and easygoing. While she may certainly want a specific scenario for her husband ("Anchin") and herself, as long as it does not threaten to destroy that aspiration she is fine with allowing it and working with it. Even if it comes to other women who may find themselves attracted to "Anchin", it is perfectly understandable as Anchin is very attractive in many aspects. Kiyohime must come first though. A second Kiyohime may also come first, equal to the original Kiyohime but only if it is still Kiyohime.
In situations that don't involve her beloved, Kiyohime is actually easy to deal with. The first impression one may get of her would be that she is rather normal and traditional, lending to the fact she is from a reserved era of Japan. One that is a little too excited about her love life but not someone dangerous or anything. Polite, cheerful, demure, all traits one would expect to find within an old style house wife. Which is exactly what she is aiming for. It's not that she's lying about herself, she would never do that, but maintaining the pristine image is certainly something she wishes to uphold and is part ingrained into her due to the general time period she lived in. As said these are not lies, she truly is fine around most people, has friends and has little reason to bother others. As much as Kiyohime is a delusional, obsessed, and angry person, she is also a pleasant and simple person to be around. There is no lie here as someone can still be both.
The point about lies is being hammered in for an important reason because it is a very important aspect to her personality. Kiyohime absolutely detests lies. If there was one thing she hates above all else, it is lies. A world without lies would be a perfect world, which is exactly what she would wish for when the matter of a wish granting device is brought up. Not to have the perfect life with her husband but to rid the world of lies. This in part is because she sees no need in wishing for the inevitable, but also because her hatred for lies is that great. She has extreme issues with lies, ESPECIALLY from Anchin and anyone she believes is Anchin. While her reaction to other people speaking lies would not be so extreme, especially if the lies are not related to her, the mere fact they are lying would sour her.
Then there was Anchin. He died a horrible, melting death inside of a bell all because he lied about seeing her again and avoided her village. If she is lied to once again, only despair awaits. That is when her madness comes to fruition and the real danger begins. It is noted that Kiyohime may remove Command Seal (the tool used to power and bind oneself to a Servant) and no mention of how this is done has been made. Even in the scenario that the removal is not dangerous, almost all instances of Masters losing their Command Seals have lead to death. Everyone else can handle Kiyohime rather well with no real caution but her Master needs to take UTMOST care not to lie to her. As long as that one thing doesn't happen, she is fine. Which is rather difficult in itself as what she defines as a lie might be rather broad.
A term people use to describe Kiyohime is "yandere". One that is far more concerned with her lover than other people in this regard. While others may certainly witness the madness that is Kiyohime around her love, they will never be on the receiving end of it, unless they try and take what is hers. Stalking, appearing out of nowhere, a chilling sense of dread, worrying conversations of death and hauntings, clingy behavior, and the tense atmosphere that comes with being on thin ice. All of this happens to the poor person who summons her and the more she gets into the swing of things the worse she gets. It's only her Master who has to suffer this curse as even if she has never been lied to, her trust issues and crushing desire to be loved push her to creepy and terrifying extremes at times.
And she knows it. She knows she's horrible. She knows that she deserves whatever bad things happen to her. Kiyohime knows that she does not deserve to be loved because of what she has done, what she is, that she cannot really be trusted. No one should love a person who can easily turn when hearing a simple lie, no one should love someone who would easily kill over such a petty thing. Yet it is all buried underneath her madness and her own desires. Her wants are greater than her reason to hold back, and even accepting her will do little to settle her worse traits. It will make her happy though, not having someone run away from her again.
Now with that all said, Kiyohime can still be a normal person around her Master. She prides herself on being a fine wife and can easily do tasks that would be required of one (in her mind). How she handles herself is really dependent on the situation and how she is feeling at the time, something which makes her a rather unpredictable mess to handle. But she can be kept tame and as long she hears no lies, she is perfectly fine to be around with little to worry about. Only a little because there is always something to worry about.
Abilities: Madness Enhancement EX: As explained in the personality section this is the root of the Berserker class, the thing that makes them berserk. In practical terms it trades in rationality for power, with higher intensity madness making for higher power. It is unknown how much this affects Kiyohime as her stats are shown to be exceptionally weak at base and she has never shown off much in terms of physical might. Additionally this very well may be a personal trait of hers due to her past, as she keeps it even when not a Berserker.
Stalking B: This is a legitimate ability she has. While many Servants can stalk in various forms, Kiyohime is the only one who does it in such a blatant form. She has no built in ability to conceal her own presence so she has to rely on her surroundings and blending into crowds to not be noticed while pursuing her target. This is mainly saying that she has a natural talent for stalking prey. Mostly regarding relentlessly following a certain monk.
Shapeshifting C: Not a free form ability to change shape, it's more of supportive ability to her most notable and well known feat.
Turning into a dragon: Which is of course, this. There are no signs in which she is related to dragons of any form in life, yet she still did so through sheer determination, vexation, rage, desire and wrath. Her dragon is naturally more of a Japanese variety, being more of a serpent that slithers instead of a walking western type. The breathing of fire matches, as it is quite the known fact when it comes to her that she literally melted her beloved Anchin inside that bell, followed by herself in her own flames.
She is still capable of using fire, both breathing it and summoning it when not a dragon, however.
Alignment: Sosyne. While it makes sense for Elios to be picked as she is both a hateful person who devotes herself far too much to her deluded form of love, her anger is the key moment of her life and myth. The absurd amount of rage she felt in that one moment quite literally transformed her into a dragon. Even as a Servant this still holds true. Angering her is considered a scary prospect, as well as a deadly one.
After all she IS still a Berserker. Even if she isn't the normal kind they are known for uncontrollable fury.
Other: I am so sorry for the many different terms used to describe her Master. It is not so much a specific person but a role anyone could fill in for. Thus calling them Master, "Anchin", her beloved, her husband. Because they are all the same thing to her.
⌈ SAMPLE SECTION ⌉General Sample: Test Drive 1, from AprilTest Drive 2, from MayTest Drive 3, from AugustEmotion Sample: Another day, another night. Staring up at the stars above is a bit of a relief, as not having the halo of light hovering above is something Kiyohime didn't know she wanted. A sign of everything being somewhat normal in the world, even if it a different one. But if only she could have her husband by her side right now, it would be the perfect romantic moment.
"But no, of course not. I just have myself to stare at the stars with. Because my dear Master has problems sleeping when I'm around." She says with a deep sigh accompanying her words. "I hardly see the problem with being in the same bed. I am like a loyal guard dog, yet here I am out here, like some mutt."
She isn't even being made to stay outside, she just did it to take her mind off of it. What it's done is only make everything sting more. The perfect chances to spend time together and she's all alone. Kiyohime came out here to put her mind at ease only to find it more of a mess than before. "I would be fine with either. Spending some time with each other, sleeping together... or the first could lead into the second. That would be nice, instead of just standing here to wallow in my own loneliness."
It's getting to be depressing now. She knows what this means, that a storm cloud will form above her and there's really nothing to do until she herself works through her sadness as rain pelts her. Indeed, one begins to form above her... and nothing happens. She waits for the drops of rain to start, but nothing.
Despite knowing better, she looks away from the distant stars and draws her eyes upon the cloud, puzzled and wary. It really is just a cloud. She walks around on the ground, watching it follow her. "It certainly is mine, but... it can't be mocking me, right? That would be quite strange, rude and entirely uncalled for if my own emotional cloud did that to make me feel even worse." Pacing back and forth, underneath and around it, Kiyohime finally has what she wanted. A method to take her mind off of things, even if it was far from what she imagined. "Or maybe... yes, maybe it's that I am at the brink of it doing anything. Maybe I just don't feel
enough for a full reaction! Yes, that makes sen-" Before she could finish speaking, she cut herself off when she noticed that wasn't right with her assumption. Something was now falling. Snow.
"And now I can't go back inside. I really am a cold and miserable dog, out in the snow now." Defeated by the turn of events, Kiyohime slumps her shoulders and quickly opens the front door. She really has no intention of making a snowy mess inside, but she will take the rug in front of the door to shield herself from the snowy onslaught. Rain would at least soak into the ground, snow is going to stick around for a while. "I hope this is enough to keep me somewhat warm. If only I could start a fire, without accidentally lighting everything else on fire at the same time."
But on the other hand, she could use this to her advantage. A cold and lonely Kiyohime alone in the snow. Surely her Master would notice this and come to her aid. Being cared for, being looked after... yes, that's perfect. Kiyohime now has all that she needs to be whisked away in the arms of love. She can't help but laugh, it's honestly so easy. She was trying all sorts of methods to be noticed before, when all she had to do was put herself in a situation like this. But it's fine, as long as everything turns out good.
Sadly for Kiyohime, the snow of depression has lifted now that she no longer feels quite so dour. The cloud even vanishes. Leaving her covering herself with a rug, underneath a fine powder of snow, that would only give an ant issue. She sighs again into the night. "Maybe I should just sneak inside." Her scheming has been her undoing, but her scheming shall give her what she wants anyway. As soon as she can climb up to the bedroom window and enter through there.
